Main Street Manager, Eastburg Community Alliance, East Stroudsburg, PA
To help fulfill its mission, the Eastburg Community Alliance (ECA) is looking to hire a self-motivated individual who has the qualifications and experience to provide ongoing main street management services and activities.
The applicant must be able to provide a variety of services associated with promoting growth and revitalization of the Main Street district, while maintaining strong work ethic and a positive demeanor. Those services include, but are not limited to:
Manages administration of Eastburg Community Alliance’s Main Street program, including reporting, recordkeeping and projects.
Maximizes community and volunteer efforts and develops strong partnerships with business and community leaders through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizes and helps manage ECA-hosted events; arranging for organization, businesses and individuals to participate.
Manages the organization’s website.
Interfaces with ECA members and potential members (primarily businesses) on an ongoing basis; answers inquiries via phone, email or in-person in a timely manner; and reports to the Board regarding potential issues.
Attends required regional and state trainings and meetings.
Works with the local community to develop and implement an action plan and timetable, including public and private activities and events in conjunction with the Promotions Committee and regional revitalization program.
Assists the Design Committee by coordinating with individual merchants and property owners on design and construction of physical restoration projects, including financing and other technical services and information.
Assists in the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers.
Assists the Economic Restructuring Committee with increasing retailing in the downtown and expanding market opportunities.
Possesses grant writing and fund raising skills with the goal to create effective grant proposals that will attract community development resources to the East Stroudsburg area. This includes county, state and federal funding, foundation grants, existing revitalization programs and political support.
Candidates with the following attributes will be favored:
Intimate knowledge of the current small business climate in Monroe County
Marketing / promotion / PR / and or event planning experience
Experience operating or working for a small business
Experience with the Main Street Four-Point Approach® to revitalization
Compensation will be between $25,000 and $35,000 annually.

Communications and Events Coordinator, Downtown Inc., York, PA
Downtown Inc., the organization charged with revitalizing and encouraging reinvestment in downtown York, is seeking to fill the full-time position of Communications and Events Coordinator.
This position is responsible for planning, coordinating and executing all special events, and developing and managing the organization’s communications strategy to include all forms of public and media relations, print and web-based outreach, and social networking.

Eastern Regional Program Services Coordinator, Pennsylvania Downtown Center (Harrisburg, PA)
Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) a statewide, non-profit that promotes and supports the vitality of PA downtowns, business districts and nearby residential areas, seeks a dynamic individual to serve as regional program services coordinator for eastern Pennsylvania.
Qualified candidates must possess experience in the areas of business district and neighborhood revitalization. The selected individual will serve in the full-time position of Eastern Regional Program Services Coordinator (ERPSC). The position shall provide oversight, coordination and delivery of all outreach, technical assistance and educational services, primarily in support of the Commonwealth’s Main Street and Elm Street Programs. The ERPSC will be responsible for a defined geographic area (eastern PA) and the communities within that area that have been formally accepted into either of the Commonwealth’s Main Street or Elm Street program funding cycles or are seeking such designation. The ideal candidate will possess experience with, and commitment to, the revitalization of downtowns, traditional neighborhood business districts and nearby residential areas.
A college degree and experience in downtown revitalization, urban planning, historic preservation, and/or public administration and some training experience are required. An advanced college degree is preferred. Outstanding writing skills, verbal communication and computer skills are required and must be demonstrated (particularly with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Willingness to accept extensive travel within Pennsylvania is a must. Ability to speak and write fluent Spanish a plus for qualified candidates.

Executive Director, Orange Main Street Organization (Orange, New Jersey)
About the organization:
Situated in the heart of downtown Orange, New Jersey, Orange Main Street Organization was established through City Ordinance in 2008. Over 300 businesses in the fields of fashion, cuisine, and financial services, and much more call Main Street in Orange their home. The goal of the organization is to market the district as a shopping and dining destination. It also focuses on promoting historic preservation, outreach programming, special events and volunteerism. It will include an array of programs and other activities, which will seek to improve business in the district.
Responsibilities:
General
Manages the district’s budget, requiring innovative low-cost programs, government interaction, and fundraising through the development of corporate marketing partnerships
Coordinate collection of downtown assessment with the City of Orange Township
Communicate with the merchants in the district and encourage their active involvement
Create quarterly reports and an annual report for the City of Orange Township and Main Street New Jersey
Manage the Board of Directors and facilitate monthly Board meetings
Manage a variety of committees and task forces
Coordinate program activities with the City of Orange Township Department of Planning & Economic Development
Marketing
Plan and implement all marketing and communication programs, including an annual business directory, a website, newsletter and banner campaign
Represent the district as its spokesperson when appropriate
Oversee programs encouraging economic growth through campaigns and special events
Promote the City’s downtown as the region’s pre-eminent business and shopping district
Conduct media tours to introduce the district to media worldwide
Sponsorship Development
Enhance existing marketing and sponsorship partnerships
Develop and cultivate new partnership opportunities for the district according to set goals
Networking
Provide ongoing outreach to merchants in the district through direct mailings and town hall style meetings
Work with public, private and civic agencies to increase effectiveness of and obtain funding for infrastructure, public improvements, promotional, parking and other programs
Represent the district on task forces as assigned
Provide ongoing coordination with neighborhood groups
Data Base Management
Maintain and update business database internally and on the website
Infrastructure
Work with neighborhood and City to monitor and upgrade the district’s infrastructure including the parking system
Required Education and Experience
College degree from an accredited four-year institution of higher learning.
A minimum of two years experience with a BID or similar non-profit organization with a business/commercial corridor focus.
Knowledge of Essex County New Jersey preferred, but not required.
References will be requested.
Compensation for the Executive Director position will be commensurate with experience. Health insurance, vacation, and other benefits are competitive. While most of the Executive Director’s work is conducted during office hours, the Executive Director will have periodic night, late-night, and weekend responsibilities.
