PDC Offering NAP Workshop

The Pennsylvania Downtown Center will offer a NAP (Neighborhood Assistance Program) Workshop on Monday, February 23 at the Rural Electric Association Building located at 212 Locust Street in downtown Harrisburg. The NAP Workshop, running from 9:00 am-4:30 pm will focus on navigating Pennsylvania’s Neighborhood Assistance Program and related redevelopment funding opportunities. The NAP Tax Credit Program is an important tool in your community revitalization toolbox. With $72 million currently available statewide, this timely training will explore how communities can position projects for success, understand program requirements, and strengthen competitive applications. The workshop will include an overview of the program and teaching the technical components, then we will be joined by a panel presentation of practitioners who have been utilizing the programs for years: Larry Newman, Diamond City Partnership, Wilkes-Barre; Emily Fetcko, Erie Downtown Partnership; Todd Pousley, NeighborWorks NEPA; and Reginia Coughenour, Uptown Somerset Inc. to share their successes and tricks of the trade. We’ll then switch gears and offer an opportunity to break out into groups and invite the participants to pitch their project for feedback. We will be joined by John Winters and Melissa Tabb to provide detailed and professional feedback throughout the workshop. John is a Program Analyst 3 (Neighborhood Assistance Program), Center for Community Services with DCED and Melissa is the Deputy Director, Center for Community Services with DCED. Registration is $50 for PDC members and $75 for non-members.  Register NOW!
