Manager’s Meeting | Who Should Attend: Main Street & Elm Street Manager’s and Staff
The Manager’s Meeting is a collaborative working session centered on real-world problem solving, peer discussion, and resource sharing. Manager’s Meeting are required for all Designated Main Street Matters Main Street and Elm Street Programs, as well as for any communities working towards eligibility for the Main Street America’s National Accreditation. PDC membership is required to attend Manager’s Meetings.
Leadership Forum | Who Should Attend: Main & Elm Street Board Members
The Leadership Forum is a companion session designed to strengthen board/manager alignment and governance practices. Board Members are more than welcome to join for the entire Manager’s Meeting, and the Leadership Forum breakout session will take place from 10:30am – noon. Leadership Forum attendance is required once a year by a board or committee member for any communities working towards Main Street America’s National Accreditation and encouraged for Main Street & Elm Street designated programs. This will be the last chance for board members to attend in 2026!
Downtown 101 | Who Should Attend: Anyone interested in community revitalization!
The Downtown 101 is for new managers, board members, or community members interested in community revitalization. Attendees will receive an overview of the Main Street Approach.
Greensburg Meeting Information: All meetings will take place at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art located at 221 N Main Street. Recommended hotels include the Holiday Inn & Suites Greensburg, the Courtyard by Marriott, and the Hampton Inn Greensburg. For those arriving September 29, join your fellow changemakers for dinner at El Diablo Brewing Co. & Wood Fired Kitchen at 7 PM. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Nancy Ligus.
Pottsville Meeting Information: The Downtown 101 will take place at Alvernia University located at 500 Progress Ave. The Manager’s Meeting and Leadership Forum will take place at The Miners 1928 located at 121 S Progress Ave. Hotel accommodations can be made at The Miners 1928 Inn. If the Inn is full, additional hotel options include the Towne Place Suites by Marriott or the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson. Both hotels are off Rt. 81 and 15 minutes from downtown. An evening gathering is being planned for those arriving the October 6. More information to come!
