Main Street Matters Advocacy Day
April 21, 2026 | Pennsylvania State Capitol, Harrisburg
Join your colleagues from across the Commonwealth for Main Street Matters Advocacy Day on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Harrisburg. This is an opportunity for Main Street and Elm Street leaders, board members, municipal officials, and community partners to come together and advocate for the continued investment in Pennsylvania’s downtowns and neighborhoods.
The morning will begin with a Meet & Greet with Legislators from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM in Hearing Room #3 of the North Office Building. This informal gathering will include coffee, light refreshments, and time to connect directly with legislators and fellow community leaders before the day’s events begin. We encourage you to invite your local legislators and community partners to attend and ask that all participants register in advance.
Following the Meet & Greet, participants will gather at the steps of the Capitol Rotunda for the Main Street Matters press event from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM. This is a key moment to demonstrate a strong, unified voice in support of programs and policies that strengthen our communities across Pennsylvania.
After the press event, attendees are encouraged to schedule meetings with their legislators and staff throughout the remainder of the day. These conversations are critical to sharing the impact of your work locally and reinforcing the importance of continued support for Main Street and Elm Street programs. PDC staff and board members are also available to accompany you in meetings if requested.
Event Participation Options Include:

- Main Street Matters Press Event (10:30 – 11:30 AM)
