Samuel Sloan Auchincloss Award

THE SAMUEL SLOAN AUCHINCLOSS AWARD

Established in 2018, the Samuel Sloan Auchincloss Award recognizes community revitalization programs in the commonwealth for outstanding achievements in Pennsylvania Downtown Center’s Townie award categories of General Image, Special Events, Retail Promotion and Transitional Marketing.

Sloan served on Pennsylvania Downtown Center’s (PDC) Board from 2014 through the time of his passing in April 2018, where he played an integral role on PDC’s External Operations Committee – whose focus is marketing, membership and communications. Sloan’s undergraduate and master’s degrees in Public Relations along with his successful marketing communications company, Auchincloss & Auchincloss, provided PDC meaningful professional insight and wisdom throughout the years not only for PDC’s efforts but for the decisions and resources PDC staff provides to its statewide network.
