Nick Gilson, Founder and CEO, Gilson Snow Inc.
Gilson Snow is an American snowboard and ski manufacturer based in Winfield, Pennsylvania. Founded in 2013, Gilson grew out of founder Nick Gilson’s work with middle school science students and insights from the hydrodynamics of surfing and sailing. Now a significant manufacturer of snowboards for customers nationwide, the company locally sources its hardwoods from sustainably harvested Pennsylvania poplar.
Tom Ward, Co-Founder and CEO, Epoch Boats
A Philadelphia-based startup, Epoch Boats is developing the world’s first hydrofoil, electric aluminum skiff boat that combines innovative engineering and eco-friendly technology with performance. Tom describes Epoch as a climate tech company that makes really cool boats.
Michael Herman, Founder, Purple Lizard Maps
Based in State College, PA, Michael founded Purple Lizard Maps in 1997 to produce world class recreational maps to provide public lands visitors with curated experiences that allow them to experience the outdoors responsibility and adventurously. Purple Lizard currently publish es maps of Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Puerto Rico and are adding new states and titles every year.
