Brown Bag Brain Trust: Physical Activity in Town

Join us every third Thursday for these casual conversations via zoom with other core community leaders to discuss successes, challenges and best practices!
This month, we’ll convene to discuss Physical Activity in Town – Are people walking regularly and comfortably on sidewalks in your downtown? Do you have bike lanes that support bicyclists? Do you have small pocket parks which encourage public activity? Learn and share about the physical activity in your town and ways to increase activity to benefit not only your local businesses but also individual community members!
In addition to inviting people to share what is working in your community, there will also be a short intro to a resource that may be of interest. An interdisciplinary team at Bucknell University has devised a walking route app called Ready Set Fit that you may want to explore using to help encourage walking in your community. We will get a brief introduction to the app from Bucknell Professor Shaunna Barnhart and have an opportunity to ask questions about what is involved in setting up a route.
This collaborative session is open to PDC Members Only!
