Staff Update: Kyle Bailey
Kyle Bailey’s Farewell Message
To my fellow community and economic development professionals,
It is with mixed emotions that I am writing to say farewell to each of you who are reading this. After much contemplation, I have taken on a new opportunity, and as a result, I will be resigning from my position here at the Pennsylvania Downtown Center. My last day with PDC will be January 19, 2024. I am grateful to have worked with so many wonderful people over the last four years or so and have learned so much from so many of you. The dedication and passion that each of you have for your communities is amazing. The work that so many of you have accomplished and continue to accomplish amazes me and I was honored to have been given the chance to (hopefully) contribute to at least a little of that success.
I will undoubtedly look back fondly on many of the experiences that I shared with you. Whether it was our conversations while grabbing a coffee together or hanging out at the bar during the PDC conference, the times we shared as friends and colleagues will be remembered fondly. I want to specifically thank all the designated communities, both past and present, who worked with me tirelessly through long program assessments, technical assistance, and training. My hope is that I offered something that helped you make the places you all care so deeply about better.
While it is bittersweet to be leaving PDC, I am excited to take on a new role with new challenges and opportunities. It’s my sincere wish to stay in touch with you and so I encourage you to connect with me on LinkedIn if we have not done so already. Many of you also have my personal cell phone number so as always, don’t hesitate to reach out.
I wish each of you continued success, both personally and professionally. Thank you all again for your hard work and for making my time with PDC so memorable.
Best Wishes,
Kyle Bailey
