Sponsorship is a highly visible, cost-effective way to reach community leaders and partners as they foster new ideas and solutions for preservation-based revitalization across the commonwealth. Sponsor packages provide partners with the opportunity to connect directly with local decision-makers and support communities on their path to economic revitalization.

The Pennsylvania Downtown Center (PDC) will be hosting “Gather & Grow | Townies Awards & Spring Manager’s Meeting” in Bedford, PA on May 28/29. This two-day event provides educational opportunities through several educational sessions, peer-to-peer learning, and networking. These opportunities help communities throughout the commonwealth to build capacity, forge strong partnerships, and learn from others as we all continue our own local efforts towards preserving and enhancing our community’s historic character, local buildings, quality of life, and overall community wellness.

“Downtown Bedford Inc. is thrilled to welcome the Pennsylvania Downtown Center’s Conference to our charming community!” said Main Street Manager Lindsay Salas. “This event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase Bedford’s rich history, vibrant downtown, and the collaborative efforts that make our Main Street thrive.”

Join Lindsay Salas and the PDC in welcoming these community leaders to Bedford with your sponsorship of the Gather & Grow event. Highlights of the sponsorship include speaking opportunities at the Townie Awards Dinner and the Manager’s Meeting Breakfast or a more general Event Sponsorship providing the opportunity to attend the Townie Awards Dinner and network with these leaders from communities throughout the commonwealth as well as congratulate the award winners. All sponsors will be highlighted in the event program and on the PDC website.

At least 100-150 attendees from at least 55 different communities throughout the commonwealth will be in attendance, in addition to PA Dept. of Community and Economic Development staff and other partner organizations for the two-day event. The event will also celebrate the work these leaders are doing in their own communities at the Townie Awards Dinner which honors outstanding achievements in community revitalization across the state.

The Commonwealth of PA recently created the Main Street Matters program, bringing $20 million dollars to fund general operations, planning projects, infrastructure improvements, development and rehab projects, affordable housing initiatives, business assistance grants & loans, and much more to our local programs. Many of these local programs are searching for new vendors to support them in their efforts and this would be a great way for you to introduce yourself to them.
